REGIONAL UNITED WAYS TEAM UP WITH EASTMAN CREDIT UNION TO LAUNCH ONLINE VOLUNTEER PORTALS

The United Way of Bristol TN/VA and the United Way of Greater Kingsport have partnered with Eastman Credit Union to launch online volunteer platforms in their communities. These online portals will allow community members to easily connect with quality volunteer opportunities in their communities through their desktop computers, mobile phones, or tablets.

KINGSPORT — It’s that time. The annual fundraising drives to help out first responders and other resources that move communities forward have begun.The United Ways of Northeast Tennessee held their Regional Campaign Kickoff Thursday at the MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center.

 

UNITED WAYS OF NORTHEAST TENNESSEE KICK OFF REGIONAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS

KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE – The United Ways of Northeast Tennessee kicked off fundraising campaigns across the region on Thursday, August 17, 2017. In an event hosted by HomeTrust Bank and the United Way of Greater Kingsport (UWGK) at MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center, goals for all six Northeast Tennessee United Ways were announced, with a regional goal of $7.4 million. Jamie Woodson, CEO of the State Collaboration on Reforming Education (SCORE) was the keynote speaker for the event.

 

Northeast Tennessee Sees $260,712 Community Impact from Regional Week of Caring

The 25th Annual Week of Caring kicked off on Monday, June 19th and ran through Friday, June 23rd. Over 1800 volunteers from 48 businesses and organizations completed 201 projects across Northeast Tennessee. The financial impact of this year’s Regional Week of Caring was an astounding $260,712 for a cumulative 10,800 hours of volunteer work.
