AEP Foundation Contributes to UWGK COVID-19 Relief Fund

The American Electric Power (AEP) Foundation has donated an additional $5,000 to the United Way of Greater Kingsport COVID-19 Relief Fund. This gift will go directly to the purchasing of personal protection equipment (PPE) including face wear, sanitation supplies, and PPE educational resources.

 

Ten local organizations will benefit from this generous gift by the AEP Foundation including Oasis of Kingsport, Covenant Counseling, Sequoyah Council, Boy Scouts of America, Mountain Region Speech and Hearing, Holston Children & Youth, Appalachian Regional Coalition on Homelessness, Boys & Girls Club of Kingsport, Small Miracles, Girls Incorporated of Kingsport, and United Way of Greater Kingsport.

 

“We are so excited and thankful for the generous contribution from the AEP Foundation to our local COVID-19 Relief Fund,” says Danelle Glasscock, Executive Director of United Way of Greater Kingsport. “We know that so many of our neighbors have been struggling through this time and we are extremely appreciative to the AEP Foundation for making this possible.”
