MyRide Transportation Coordinator, MyRide Kingsport 
 
 
JOB PURPOSE:
 
Under direct supervision of the Contact 211 Executive Director, the MyRide Kingsport Transportation Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the MyRide Kingsport senior transportation program, which serves Kingsport's older adult population. 
 
 
ACCOUNTABILITY:
 
The MyRide Coordinator works under the general supervision of the Executive Director, Contact 211, and in concert with staff and volunteers with a strict adherence to the Contact 211 Personnel Policies. Additionally, the MyRide Coordinator works closely with the  MyRide Regional Transportation Coordinator. 
 
EXPECTATIONS:
  • Must be an Associate Degree (2 years) Graduate, Bachelor's preferred
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must demonstrate proficiency for general computing and communication technology
  • Must possess appropriate interpersonal skills allowing for cooperative interaction with all people and personalities
  • Must possess organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to communicate grammatically, written and verbally

 

WAGE CLASSIFICATION AND HOURS:

 

Part-time - minimum of 30 hours per week, with permission to work up to 35 hours per week; some flexible hours; Maintains a set schedule of hours in the office, with variation as needed for meetings, speaking opportunities etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Manage services and follow all program policies
  • Operate program within available funding levels
  • Develop, manage and maintain systems related to the transportation program, including volunteer and rider files, database records, operations, reports, quality assurance surveys
  • Responsible for completion of Volunteer Driver application process--forms, signatures, background checks, photos, copies of DL, Insurance cards etc--and maintain hard copy and electronic storage of these items
  • Assist with recruiting, screening, training, scheduling and evaluating volunteers and riders 
  • Implement orientation/training for drivers (Coordinate with FTAAD for the initial group training)
  • Provide rider services, outreach, and follow-up, including all required assessments, reassessments, and program evaluations
  • Schedule rides or appropriately help volunteers to schedule their rides
  • Responsible for financial duties: receiving payments, deposit checks to bank or to financial person responsible for deposits, maintaining receipt book and Excel sheet
  • Responsible for entering data on Assistedrides.com re:Driver/Rider profiles, Destinations, Client Financial Accounts, Ride Requests
  • Monitor database entries and client files regularly for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure that files, database records and reports are complete, accurate, current and secured according to HIPPA policies
  • Monitoring AssistedRides system to insure all driver information is kept up to date
  • Monitor AssistedRides system to insure all rides are assigned
  • Submit to Executive Director data required for monthly, quarterly and annual reports and other information necessary to inform funders, participants, and the community in a timely manner
  • Participate in program development, strategic planning and fundraising activities
  • Use marketing strategies to acquire Drivers and Riders--such as attending community events, distributing brochures to businesses, churches etc. and utilizing media exposure
  • Keep in close communication with Drivers and Riders for any possible issues
  • Network with relevant community organizations
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required
  • Treat all with respect and adhere to Contact 211 policies concerning the Title VI and HIPAA 
  • Other duries, as assigned
