What is a United Way Loyal Contributor?

United Way has created the Loyal Contributor initiative to identify, thank, recognize and communicate with our long-time donors who have positively impacted the lives of so many people through their consistent, long-time support.

Bob Miller and his wife Doris were recently recognized as being the contributors in attendance with the longest giving record.

At 91, Mr. Miller remains very active in the community by volunteering for several organizations. He volunteers for Move to Kingsport and ENCORE, a Chamber of Commerce Leadership program. He is also very active in the Lions Club, where he helps with vision testing in the schools. He speaks highly of the Kingsport community. "It's great to live in a community where the majority of people willingly and graciously support United Way programs."
