How to LIVE UNITED |
Comments from Board President and Campaign Chair |
As United Way celebrates more than 75 years of service to our community, we face difficult economic challenges. Just as there has been a true giving spirit throughout the years, we believe that the spirit of generosity and caring is alive and well in Greater Kingsport now more than ever.
We hope you will find a way to support the United Way of Greater Kingsport, and those who are fortunate enough to do so will dig just a little deeper so that our 41 programs will be able to continue changing lives.
Your support will help United Way continue to care for citizens from every age group, from children and youth to the aging population. Whether you support the United Way through giving, advocating or volunteering, your support helps United Way continue to work with others in the community to impact the three fundamental elements that help everyone have a good life – health, education, and income. Furthermore, your support can help sustain these elements of a good life by creating long lasting changes through addressing the underlying causes of problems.
Just as our more than 75 year history connects us to our past, United Way connects us to each other. Underneath everything we are, underneath everything we do, we are all people … connected, interdependent, united! Together, we can accomplish more than any single group can on its own. In order to create a brighter future in our community, we ask for your continued support of United Way of Greater Kingsport and that you continue to LIVE UNITED – Give, Advocate, and Volunteer. |
